Well, it's house-hunting time of year, and as a first-year university student, I'm a nervous wreck about it; what's a good price? Where's a good place that has included internet? Will I be able to get to the public transit and, in turn, to school, in a reasonable time? What's the neighborhood like?
Guh.
I really enjoy residence, but I believe it's served its purpose: I've made the friends, and I've learned how to live by myself. I'm ready to move into my own place and kind of carve out a little niche where I can spend the rest of my three years and beyond. I remember going to a house of a group of film students, and there was no doubt who lived there; the personalities of the tenants gave the house a certain flair, and it made it a home, not just a house.
So Friday I'm going on a house-hunt and scoping out a potential place. Wish me luck.
Oh, and PS: congrats Obama.
